Definition and concepts

This indicator measures the proportion of the population aged 15 and older who experienced physical or sexual abuse before the age of 15.
Comment and limitations

This is a proxy indicator. The UN Global indicator states: “Proportion of children aged 1-17 years who experienced any physical punishment and/or psychological aggression by caregivers in the past month”.

Data are reported for adult (15 years and older) answering having experienced child maltreatment before the age of 15.
